Pacific Pathways is on the Road to Becoming a Certified B Corporation

We have recently achieved the status of a Pending B Corp treatment center. Pending B Corps have submitted the comprehensive B Impact Assessment to B Labs, a third party nonprofit who awards certification. We will work with B Labs over the next year to implement and verify a wide range of corporate sustainability measures across all aspects of our operations.

B Corp principles are fully integrated into every aspect of Pacific Pathways.  From reducing waste at the offices and residences, to a commitment to a non-inflammatory vegetarian diet, to clinical services that incorporate sustainability concepts such as resilience and regeneration, we strive to demonstrate a holistic approach to the treatment and recovery process. These values are reflected in our mission statement:

Steps to full B Corp treatment center certification.

  1. Establish connections with area B Corps.
  2. Engage in community based learning projects.
  3. Establish local purchasing policies.
  1. Develop an environmental management system.
  2. Collect baseline data for carbon, water, energy usage, waste production and establish reduction targets.
  1. Activate Employee passions and skills to support the B Corp certification process.
  2. Offer paid time off for employee volunteering.
  1. Facilitate sustainability education programming for clients.
  2. Support personal sustainability through transitional living skills program.
  1. Establish local stakeholder relationships and advisory board.
  2. Work towards full B Corp certification.
